Tips to Providing Leadership for your Team

Good leadership skills are important for all Business Owners and Managers. I want to share with you some skills I believe to be important to a Successful Dental Practice.

Walk your Talk. If you want your employees to care about your practice; You must show that you care. Showing up to work late on a consistent basis sets a bad precedent. If you want your team to be on time, you should be on time, or better yet, early. Likewise, if you want your team members to present themselves as professionals, you must do the same. Be careful of gossip and if possible avoid the topics of politics and religion. You, the Owner/Manager, are the person who sets the tone of your practice. You determine your Practice Culture and you do so with your Leadership skills.

Treat your Team Members the way you want to be treated. i.e. Say Thank You and be Respectful. Communicate with your team in a positive way and Participate in Practice Activities.
